Please welcome the newest rescue recruits at EPGPR 'The Herbs' aka Basil (neutered boar), Rosemary & Thyme. The families children had lost interest. Their parents were fed up nagging them to look after them. These 3 guinea pigs are just gorgeous, even more so now they've had a pamper session and no longer have lice and hay mites!
These 3 will have to remain at EPGPR for 10 weeks until the girls have completed their pregnancy watch. Poor Rosemary has had several back to back litters, the last one being after Basil was neutered - vet advised he could be returned to the group 3 weeks post neuter! : (

Whilst we are a guinea pig rescue we do occasionally help the odd rabbit or two. The family that brought 'The Herbs' to EPGPR, also asked for help with their two rabbits. EPGPR do not have the facilities to accommodate and care for rabbits but we were able to move them on to specific bunny rescues in order to find them the very best forever homes. A wonderful example of rescues working together for the benefit of the animals :)
Coco & Bella have been offered space and The Blue Cross, Burford. They will be vaccinated and neutered before being rehomed. |
